Welcome! For the sake of not getting off onto numerous tangents, we're going to call it what it is; Arthritis. Yes, we all have some type or have a loved one that has this terrible disease or we wouldn't be here. I do believe I'd rather have cancer, at least they can cure it sometimes or give you an expiration date. Want to talk about it, click here.

There has to be a common denominator between us all instead of the old rheumatologist standby “ you just have it.” My first visit to one (he was supposed to be the best in the Southeast) after the nurse had me strip to my underwear and lay back on that comfortable examination couch. He came in and after introductions, he looked me over, never touched me or tested me, the words out of his mouth were “ yep, you've got arthritis” ...well I didn't know if it was something else, but with that keen eye, he could tell right off. Amazing! And yes I'm being sarcastic to the max~~~~~

After numerous vials of blood drawn, he wanted me to come back in two weeks. So I went for my follow up visit and sure enough he had a name for it, Non sera poly arthritis. He explained that it was Rheumatoid’s first cousin. Hmmm. I'd hate to meet its brother or sister. At that time he gave me nothing for pain or inflammation. On my next visit he handed me a package that told all about Enbrel. After I read the part about 16 of 100 dying from it, I decided it wasn’t for me and headed for my internal medicine Dr. that had sent me to the rheumatologist to begin with. He gave me Darvocet and that knocked down the pain some so I could function and work. I was only about 42 at the time.

After a few years of the painkillers, he sent me to another rheumatologist who immediately prescribed 20 mg prednisone once daily and it worked, but after I read about the side effects and the skin on my arms thinned to the point that a slight rub would cause an ugly bruise I started to wean myself off. I finally got down to 5 mg a day and don't use it at all unless I really have a bad flare up. I cannot say I am arthritis free but I am sure a lot better and it may have something to do with the next paragraph but I don't think so.

About a year ago she wanted me to try a new to the market Disease modifying drug and since the pharmaceutical company gives you what amounts to a debit card, I said sure why not. I didn't realize this consisted of 2 infusions which amounts to one dose and each infusion takes 6 hours. I think the magic of this drug is the 130 mg of IV prednisone that they pump in you slowly before they start the infusion, which is called Rituxan. And at what I found it costs per infusion it ought to make me 16 again. Now there are two doses per one treatment and each dose is $10,890, so for $21,780 plus the normal administrative fees I should be able to run the 100 yard dash in eight seconds, but no, couldn't tell a bit of difference. So I went back to my own routine which seems to work for me. Maybe you've tried it.

Its pretty simple. I've tried many homemade remedies and they all seemed to work for awhile but this one works well all the time. NO DEADLY NIGHTSHADE or kin family fruits or vegetables. Yes, these include some of your favorites.

Tomato, Potato, Peppers (all types), Eggplant, Tobacco, Hops, Mandrake and Spinach, Mustard Greens (these are cousins) and it appears pork is suspect also, at least to me. That means chops, loins, bacon and even pigs feet to those so inclined. I know it's near impossible to find anything that does not have tomatoes in it. But try my method and see and let us know on the forum board..you can also talk about anything else you'd like to, just start the thread. With all the scientists trying to get research dollars, I think we have to fix this one ourselves!

Sometimes the simplest cure is right in front of you. If you have had success with a home remedy, please let us know. :) We’ll spread it around the world and see if it assists others as well or not at all, but one person helped is one not in pain and that is our goal.
